It's a boy?!@

We had our full anatomy exam today. I drank my 24 oz of water and could barely sit still in the waiting room. We were very anxious about the sex and to surprise - it's a boy! I began crying I couldn't believe it. I saw baseball in Matt's eyes...he's thrilled!

Here are the picts:

Sucking his thumb like mom.

He's 7" tall and from what I've read the average is 5.5" for 18 weeks. Looks like he might have dads long limbs!

His profile.

Our next appointment is next week. We'll get the full results from this test and I'm hoping all is well. Enjoy the photos as much as we are!

18 weeks and 1 day

I've finally gotten around to blogging about our little monkey growing rapidly inside my belly. I've definitely felt (her) move around subtly, but this morning she popped straight up to the surface of my stomach. I didn't see it, but I felt it and by the time I reached Matt's hand over to touch her, she was gone. The sex will be confirmed better on Monday as we have our full anatomy exam. I have to drink and hold 24oz of water in my bladder which considering how often I use the toilet these days could turn out to be difficult.

Last weekend we got to go back home. It was wonderful to be in Chicago with family and friends and we were showered with wonderful baby gifts and hand me downs. I also shopped with my family for new clothes and baby treats. I was convinced to finally enter a maternity store which wasn't too bad. My sister recommended A Pea in the Pod which had some great basics that I've already worn and felt SO much comfort in.

So, I've officially retired my skinny jeans and have now settled with my growing body. It's crazy how quickly it all came on, but I love to see my body transform and I'll figure out how to style this tummy soon enough!
